Technical, Solution & Security Architects – Defence
Location: Andover
Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week
Employment: Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a number of permanent Architecture positions supporting significant programmes within the UK Defence environment.
We are looking for experienced Technical Architects, Solution Architects and Security Architects who can bring strong technical leadership, architectural thinking and, importantly, recent experience working within Defence, the MOD, British Army or related government environments.
These are excellent opportunities for architects who want to work on complex, high-profile programmes where security, resilience, integration and operational capability are critical.
Roles available include:
Technical Architects
- Define and deliver technical architectures across complex environments
- Lead technical design and provide architectural direction
- Develop solutions across infrastructure, applications, networks and cloud
- Work closely with engineering, delivery and wider architecture teams

Solution Architects
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across major programmes
- Translate business and operational requirements into robust technical solutions
- Lead architectural design, integration and technology decisions
- Work with stakeholders across technical, delivery and operational teams
Security Architects
- Develop and assure secure architectures within highly regulated environments
- Provide security architecture, risk and assurance expertise
- Support secure-by-design principles across systems and services
- Work closely with security, engineering and programme teams
We're particularly interested in candidates with:
- Recent and demonstrable experience working within UK Defence, MOD, British Army, Royal Navy, RAF or wider Government environments
- Strong experience in one or more architecture disciplines
- Experience working on complex, large-scale or mission-critical programmes
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A strong understanding of security, governance, assurance and architectural standards
- Current or recent UK Security Clearance is highly desirable, with higher levels of clearance relevant to some positions
