We’re looking for an experienced Technical Solution Architect

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Solution Architect to play a key role in a major technology transformation programme, helping redesign and modernise a complex legacy systems landscape into a modern, scalable and AI-enabled architecture.

The Role

Working closely with senior technology and business stakeholders, you'll help shape the target architecture and roadmap for the modernisation of a business-critical technology estate.

The programme will see the organisation move away from tightly coupled legacy systems towards a cloud-first, API-led and microservices-based architecture, creating a platform capable of supporting future growth, automation and AI.

Working across both the current-state architecture and future-state design, you'll play a key role in helping determine what should be replaced, re-engineered, integrated or retired.

Day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

  • Taking ownership of architecture across a number of interconnected transformation initiatives, including:
  • Defining target-state architecture for the future technology estate
  • Designing the transition from legacy/monolithic systems towards microservices
  • Establishing modern API and integration architecture
  • Shaping how CRM, operational systems and customer platforms connect
  • Designing the architecture required to unlock and expose data across the organisation
  • Supporting the migration and modernisation of services within Microsoft Azure
  • Identifying where AI and intelligent automation can be embedded into the future architecture
  • Creating HLDs, architecture principles, patterns and technical roadmaps
  • Working with engineering teams and third-party vendors to translate architecture into delivery
  • Providing architectural assurance and challenging proposed technical solutions
  • Ensuring the future estate is scalable, resilient, secure and maintainable

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We're looking for a hands on architect who has been through major systems modernisation, rather than someone whose experience is purely greenfield. Ideally coming from a software engineering background, you're someone who will take a hands on approach within a smaller team rather than only a strategic viewpoint relying on others.
