Technical & Solution Architect

£80-100k + Bonus

Location: London, Hybrid

We’re working with an innovative financial technology business building a new platform within a highly regulated environment.

They’re looking for a Technical Solution Architect, or a strong Senior Engineer with the ambition to move into Solution Architecture, taking increasing ownership of system design, technical direction and client-facing solution discussions.

This is not a pure architecture role - you’ll stay hands-on technically while having a genuine say in how the platform evolves.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and evolve scalable, secure distributed systems
  • Own system architecture, APIs and integration patterns
  • Translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Make architectural trade-offs across distributed and traditional systems
  • Contribute to smart-contract / ledger-based components where relevant
  • Work closely with engineering, product and external stakeholders
  • Produce technical documentation and solution designs
  • Contribute to production code, code reviews, testing, CI/CD and observability

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
