THE COMPANY

Established in 1998, JSM Group designs and installs the power networks, digital infrastructure and specialist systems that critical industries run on — from high-power grid connections and data centres to renewable energy. Our turnkey teams deliver complex infrastructure at speed, on time, and with reduced legislative, technical and commercial risk.

SCOPE OF ROLE

This is a newly created role sitting within the Strategy & Growth team, working in close partnership with the Estimating function. The primary purpose is to build and own the company's approach to sourcing high-voltage (HV) products and qualifying in-country subcontractors across the UK, Ireland, and broader European project pipeline.

You will establish supplier relationships, develop market intelligence, and create the frameworks and processes that allow the business to price, plan, and deliver HV-led projects with greater confidence and competitive advantage. This is a foundation role with a clear growth trajectory, as the function matures, it is expected to expand into a team and ultimately integrate with Estimating into a unified Pre-Contract capability.

HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED

  • Secure competitive, reliable equipment supply by building strong relationships with tier-one and specialist HV manufacturers, backed by live market intelligence on pricing, capacity, and lead times
  • Give bids programme certainty by developing a qualified, ready-to-deploy subcontractor network across the UK, Ireland, and Europe
  • Win more work by arming Estimating with accurate pricing, risk assessments, and make-vs-buy input on HV-led bids
  • Set the business up to scale by establishing the processes, tools, and operating model for sourcing as a function

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
