The Role

Reporting to the Customer Solutions Team Lead, Becky Bodger, the Technical Solutions Specialist provides technical support and subject matter expertise to regional sales teams and customers. Based in Reading, UK, this hybrid role connects geophysical technology with business needs through solution design, demonstrations, training and responsive customer support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build proficiency across the Seequent product portfolio, including Oasis Montaj, Res2D/3D, Workbench, Central and other solutions as required.
  • Understand how customers use Seequent and competing products, identify the problems they need to solve and share insights with the appropriate internal teams.
  • Provide timely, professional technical advice and solutions that improve customers’ business processes and outcomes.
  • Lead engaging in-person and web-based product demonstrations and training for technical and executive audiences.
  • Partner with regional sales teams to identify, shape and progress opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Develop trusted-advisor relationships by listening, analysing requirements, recommending effective solution designs and managing expectations.
  • Support market development through webinars, demonstrations, product information and market intelligence.
  • Maintain accurate CRM information, monitor customer satisfaction and support product upgrades, releases and new-product introductions.

  • At least five years’ experience in geophysics and a tertiary qualification in geophysics, geology, earth sciences or a closely related discipline.
  • A strong grounding in geophysical principles, processing and data interpretation, including required experience with potential field methods such as gravity and magnetics.
  • Experience in one or more of UXO, environmental or contamination investigations, groundwater or near-surface geophysics, or mineral exploration and consulting.
  • Hands-on experience with Oasis Montaj, Res2DInv/3DInv and Workbench; experience with electrical or electromagnetic methods such as ERT, IP or EM is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in consulting, customer-facing or pre-sales roles, with the confidence to lead the technical aspects of prospect and customer engagements.
  • The ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly, deliver training and demonstrations, and communicate confidently in written and spoken English; additional EMEA languages are advantageous.
  • Strong relationship-building, problem-solving and workload-management skills, with a collaborative, self-starting approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with geospatial or 3D modelling workflows; Python, technical-content creation and exposure to emerging geophysical or data-driven approaches are desirable.

Additional Information

Hybrid work from the local office 2 days a week and home-based the remainder of the week.
