About The Job
Source the components that turn Graphcore’s technical roadmap into real products.
As Technical Sourcing Manager, you will own procurement and cost services across key projects and programmes. You will help Graphcore secure the electrical commodities and critical components needed for NPI and production.
Your work will connect engineering intent with supply chain execution. You will source, negotiate and expedite components that support build plans, cost targets and business priorities.
You will manage purchase orders, supplier performance, BOM costs and cost reporting. You will also qualify new suppliers, reduce lead times and support a stronger manufacturing subcontract supply chain.
This role suits someone who understands electronics and moves confidently through complex BOMs. You will bring technical judgement to sourcing decisions that shape delivery, cost and resilience.
The Team and Culture
You will join the Supply Chain team within Operations. The team works across Bristol and Taiwan to build and maintain Graphcore’s manufacturing subcontract supply chain.
Work happens close to engineering, procurement and operations stakeholders. You will take ownership, speak up early and make decisions based on cost, risk and delivery impact.
The pace is practical and direct. The team values people who act fast, manage detail carefully and take responsibility for supplier outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Strong technical or electronics background, with experience sourcing EE components
- Degree, HNC or equivalent level qualification in an engineering or technical subject
- Experience applying budgeting and cost control techniques in a complex environment

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
