Job Overview
The Technical Specialist will play a critical role in providing support to LKQ customers on a wide range of specialities from Painter training, Bodyshop Processes, Product innovation; just some examples but the list goes on. These things all enhance the Bodyshop’s KPIs and efficiencies and can be very rewarding when you look at how you have supported and developed those customers. You will be the face of LKQ in building relationships with our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
- To provide technical support to LKQ customers by winning new business, developing customers KPIs, new product conversion, and latest innovation.
- To develop customers by showing and training the latest innovation and best practices.
- Supporting on product, colour, and sustainability.
- To work with others (e.g., Suppliers, Manufacturers, Marketing, Procurement, Training, etc.) to enhance the technical offer to Strategic Accounts and Regional Accounts.
- To start up new businesses, supporting ongoing unique product brands exclusively to LKQ.
- To implement and demonstrate the financial advantage of adopting the LKQ group product and process that we can offer to LKQ customers.
- To stay abreast of competitors / market / supplier activities in the day-to-day role.
- Drive product growth by supporting LKQ commercial team plan.
- Build and strengthen relationships to expand collision sales within LKQ.
- Set and maintain high service standards, recognising strong performance and addressing areas needing improvement.
- Involved in developing our own people on internal training.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum NVQ level 3, or practical experience of Market/Paint Refinish/Dry Ancillaries.
- Good working knowledge of paint company product ranges & processes.
- Good working knowledge of dry ancillary company ranges & processes.
- Great communication skills, to build strong relationships with your colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- Good IT skills.
- Valid Full Driving License.
- Organised and resourceful.
