Are you a diploma-qualified Technical Specialist looking for a role where you can truly excel in report writing and research, working with a close-knit team that values your expertise from day one?

This Technical Specialist opportunity offers the chance to work with an established financial planning firm that partners with discretionary fund managers, allowing you to focus on what you do best - producing high-quality technical work across a diverse case mix including investments, pensions, trusts, vulnerable clients, and divorce cases.

As a Technical Specialist, you'll be the knowledge resource for financial planners, with the flexibility to accompany them to client meetings if you wish. This is a role for someone who wants to build a career as a technical specialist, working in a supportive environment where your input is valued and you're encouraged to contribute ideas on improving processes.

The day-to-day:

  • Heavy focus on report writing and research across diverse cases
  • Acting as a technical resource for financial planners
  • Working with discretionary fund managers (no fund switches or investment management)
  • Opportunity to attend client meetings alongside planners
  • Contributing to team discussions and process improvements

Technical Specialist Requirements:

  • Essential: 5-10 years of financial services industry experience
  • Essential: Diploma qualified (Level 4)
  • Essential: Comfortable with report-writing focused role excluding investment management work
  • Essential: Content to build a long-term career as a technical specialist

This Technical Specialist role is remote-based and suited to candidates located in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, or Berkshire who can commute to Gerrards Cross for monthly office days and occasional ad-hoc visits.
