Job Title: Tech Specialist - (Kiosks & Digital Access)

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Whitbread Court | Hybrid Working

Salary: £60-65,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Are you a technology specialist with experience in access control, security systems, kiosks or customer-facing technology? Do you enjoy solving complex operational challenges and delivering technology solutions that improve the guest experience?

Working across operational teams, suppliers and technology stakeholders, you'll be responsible for supporting, improving and evolving the systems that underpin the guest experience. You'll bring strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work with integrated technologies in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as the technology specialist for kiosk, key management and guest access solutions across our hotel estate.
  • Support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of technology solutions that enhance the guest journey from check-in to room access.
  • Work closely with hotel operations teams to understand business challenges and develop practical technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, partners and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable and effective technology services.
  • Support the integration of multiple systems and platforms that form part of the hotel technology ecosystem.
  • Investigate technical issues, identify root causes and drive sustainable resolutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance across product, platform and service initiatives.
  • Support solution design, configuration, testing, implementation and ongoing operational support activities.
  • Ensure solutions meet agreed standards for performance, security, resilience and supportability.
  • Build and maintain technical documentation, support processes and best-practice guidance.
  • Assess new technologies, tooling and supplier capabilities to support future innovation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Escalate risks, supportability concerns and technical issues where appropriate.

What you'll need:

  • Experience working with access control, security systems, digital keys, kiosks or similar customer-facing technologies.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with integrated systems and complex technology environments.
  • Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
  • Knowledge of technology delivery, testing, implementation and support processes.
  • Understanding of performance, security, resilience and operational support requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technology, product, operational and supplier teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting technology change, service improvement or product delivery initiatives.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and explain solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting live operational environments where system availability and reliability are critical.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience within hospitality, hotels, retail or other multi-site operational businesses.
  • Knowledge of access management, physical security systems or guest access technologies.
  • Experience working with self-service kiosk solutions.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and technology partners.
  • Understanding of service management, incident management and operational support best practices.
  • Experience with integrations, APIs and connected technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and the end-to-end guest journey.
