Location: Daventry or Dunton

Job Type: Full-Time, Hybrid, 2 days office based

Salary: £29,000 per annum

At Percepta, we deliver customer experiences for some of the world’s leading automotive brands. We’re looking for an experienced Automotive Technical Specialist to join our European Customer Experience Hub, supporting complex vehicle concerns and helping our internal customer support teams reach clear, practical resolutions.

This role would suit someone from a manufacturer, franchised dealer, workshop, diagnostic, technical support, or service management background who enjoys solving problems, explaining technical information clearly, and making a real difference to the customer experience.

What You'll Do

As an Automotive Technical Specialist, you’ll act as a trusted technical contact for complex vehicle cases. You’ll use your automotive knowledge to review concerns, support effective diagnosis, guide next steps, and help colleagues understand technical information in a clear and practical way.

You'll Be Responsible For

  • Support the investigation and resolution of complex vehicle concerns.
  • Review technical information and help identify the most appropriate next steps.
  • Work with retailers, field teams, technical specialists, and customer care colleagues to progress cases effectively.
  • Explain technical updates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify recurring issues and share insight that helps improve future case handling.
  • Create simple guidance, knowledge updates, or briefings to support colleagues.
  • Help improve customer outcomes by supporting timely, accurate, and practical resolutions.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with strong automotive technical knowledge and the confidence to communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in an automotive manufacturer, franchised dealer, workshop, diagnostic, service, or technical support environment.
  • Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems, diagnosis, repair processes, and technical guidance.
  • Ability to understand complex technical information and turn it into clear, practical advice.
  • Confident communication skills, including the ability to support colleagues, retailers, and other stakeholders.
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to balance technical accuracy with a positive customer outcome.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with electric vehicles, connected vehicle features, infotainment, software updates, or emerging automotive technologies.
  • Previous experience in a customer relations, contact centre, technical hotline, field support, or manufacturer support role.
  • Experience using case management, diagnostic, or technical support systems.
