The Role

The Technical Specialist will be responsible for engineering and driving the development of the Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) infrastructure used to provide secure access for personal and corporate iOS, Windows, Android and macOS devices within a fast-paced and agile environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of engineering backlog items and will work closely with Product Management to support backlog refinement and prioritisation, with a continual focus on enhancing user experience while maintaining a strong security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, build and deploy platform solutions in line with defined requirements, leveraging automation wherever possible.
  • Take ownership of the platform from an end-to-end engineering perspective.
  • Ensure architectural standards implemented across end-user device platforms align with security, compliance, data protection and governance requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from engineering into production environments.
  • Contribute to backlog refinement, planning and prioritisation activities within an Agile delivery framework.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and engineering excellence.
  • Package, deploy and maintain Palo Alto Prisma Access Agent applications through Microsoft Intune.
  • Package, deploy and maintain Palo Alto Enterprise Browser through Microsoft Intune.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, engineering standards and release management best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of iOS, Android and macOS operating systems, including core architecture and device management capabilities.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager), including provisioning, configuration, compliance policies, conditional access, Autopilot and application deployment.
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end IT lifecycle, including architecture, design, implementation and operational support.
  • Experience with scripting and automation, particularly using PowerShell (Azure PowerShell preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including Conditional Access, Identity Protection, MFA and integration with Intune and Microsoft 365.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory architecture and migration of Group Policy (GPO) configurations to modern MDM solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile ways of working.
  • Experience supporting Zero Trust and endpoint security initiatives would be advantageous.
