Job Role: Technical Engineering Supervisor
Location: Hatfield
Job Purpose
Manage a maintenance team and approved sub-contractors to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of PPM and reactive maintenance in line with CBRE policies and procedures, industry standards, and manufacturers' recommendations to meet the needs of The Account.
Key Tasks
- Ensure that safety is a key priority and that self and team consistently demonstrate understanding and commitment to health, safety, and environment at all times.
- Manage and coach direct reports to raise observation reports as they go about their daily tasks and lead by example by doing the same.
- Manage the team to ensure that all tasks are consistently performed in adherence with CBRE and client policies and procedures, industry best practices, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Responsible for ensuring that the FM CAFM system M5K is consistently maintained and updated at every stage with detailed closure notes for PPM, reactive tasks, and ad hoc or emergency requests in real time or as soon as possible following attendance so that The Account customers and CBRE personnel can access M5K and fully understand why a job was raised, action carried out, recommended follow-up action, detailed closure notes, and Webquote number if relevant.
- Review job reports following in-house CBRE and subcontractor PPMs and ensure that a copy of the job reports and the detail of any recommendations are uploaded to M5K and that Webquotes are raised and submitted to client for approval as soon as possible after PPM attendance.
- Manage and distribute the on-call rota and ensure adequate coverage at all times in line with client requirements for the site.
- Lead the management of subcontractors in line with CBRE and client policies and procedures including control of works, Permit to Work, etc.
- Undertake subcontractor service inspections during works being undertaken.
- Undertake site inspections and audits of tools and equipment.
- Logbook Audits to be carried out and any issues Highlighted/Addressed.
- Take ownership of the onboarding process for new starts ensuring everything is in place for start date including uniforms, tools, payroll set up, induction, and training plans.
- Ensure that direct reports are fully trained and competent in all aspects of the job including SOPs, method statements, The Account specific training, and site-specific tasks, e.g., GMP, labs, cleanrooms, etc. if relevant and that training plans are signed off within the required timeframes. (Refer to site training plan).
- Support direct reports with training and development plans.
- Support client personnel and Asset Engineering Team within the building with a variety of tasks and ensuring that all detail is captured on M5K including recommendations and closure notes.
- Maintain the professional image of CBRE Managed Services.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all CBRE Managed Services employees and clients’ representatives.

Core Competencies
- Requires knowledge and understanding of plant maintenance process and operations.
- Will be a time-served electrician certified to 18th edition.
- Supervisory experience.
