🚨 Technical Supervisor / Surveyor – Heat Pumps & Solar PV
📍 Forest of Dean initially | Travel across England & Wales
💰 £40,000–£50,000 depending on experience
💼 Permanent employed position

We’re looking for an experienced heating or heat pump professional who’s ready to take the next step into technical surveying, supervision and site management.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong practical experience who wants to move away from day-to-day installation while staying technically involved in the delivery of renewable energy projects.
🔧 The role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out technical surveys for air source heat pumps and solar PV
- Assessing existing heating systems, heat losses, radiators, pipework and equipment locations
- Preparing survey reports and information for system design
- Supervising subcontractors and checking installation quality
- Identifying and resolving technical issues on site
- Liaising with clients and residents and supporting site planning
- Checking commissioning and handover documentation
- Taking on Technical Supervisor / Nominated Technical Person responsibilities for heat pump projects, subject to verification of qualifications and competence

👷 What we’re looking for
- Relevant heating/HVAC and heat pump qualifications
- Practical experience installing heat pump systems
- Experience suitable for a heat pump technical-person/supervisory role
- Understanding of heat-loss calculations and low-temperature heating systems
- Some knowledge of solar PV — a solar PV qualification is not essential
- Strong organisation, communication and digital reporting skills
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away when required
