As a Technical Supervisor, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient delivery of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance activities across the Dartford River Crossing and tunnel.

Managing a team of M&E Maintenance Technicians and overseeing the work of subcontractors, you’ll help maintain the safety and compliance of all work activities, conduct site visits, carry out regular briefings and debriefings, and contribute to the development of risk assessments and method statements.

You’ll also play an active role in driving continuous improvement, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring resource allocation aligns with operational needs. Your effective leadership will support the long-term success of the M25 network, ensuring it remains safe, resilient, and in top condition.

The role follows a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, rotating equally between 4 day shifts and 4 night shifts.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain expert knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems at the Dartford River Crossing and tunnel.
  • Manage work activities efficiently, prioritising methodology, safety, and timely completion.
  • Collaborate with M&E staff and subcontractors to resolve issues related to methodology and safety, ensuring safe execution of works.
  • Prepare and deliver work briefings on methodology, hazards, and control measures.
  • Conduct detailed debriefs after each shift to identify issues and integrate lessons learned.
  • Review reports, identify priorities, and conduct pre-site inspections for planning.
  • Keep accurate records of completed work, resources used, and cost allocation for accountability to clients.
  • Oversee fleet management and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Promote Zero Harm objectives by enhancing safety culture and risk awareness.
  • Lead by example to meet safety standards and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Contribute to the improvement of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Engage the workforce in identifying gaps in risk assessments and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Report issues affecting safe network operation.
  • Manage people-related tasks, including performance monitoring and staffing schedules.
  • Foster growth and development through feedback and training.
  • Maintain open communication within the team, including regular toolbox talks.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and explore cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support sustainability objectives by aligning maintenance activities with environmental best practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
