Develop Your Career Towards Becoming a Financial Planner

William Highbourne Wealth Management is an established and growing independent financial planning firm. As we expand and relocate to our new offices at Woodbury Business Park, we are seeking ambitious and technically capable individuals to join our team as Technical Administration Associates.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of financial planning and is looking to progress into a client-facing Financial Planner or Wealth Manager role within the next 2 to 4 years.

The Opportunity

Working closely with our advisers team, you will play a key role in researching, analysing and implementing financial planning recommendations while developing the technical expertise required to become an adviser.

This is not a traditional administration role. We are looking for individuals who want to build a long-term career in financial planning and who are excited by investment, pension, retirement and tax planning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
