Technical Support & Design Engineer – Façade Systems (Office-based)

About Cladmate

Cladmate Façade Systems Ltd is a growing specialist supplier of façade and building envelope solutions. We work closely with architects, contractors, developers, and construction professionals to provide high-quality products and technical solutions for façade projects across the UK.

We are looking for a Technical Support & Design Engineer to join our Sales team and become a key technical resource within the business.

The Role

As a Technical Support & Design Engineer, you will provide technical expertise across Cladmate's sales, specification, and product development activities.

You will act as a central technical point of contact, supporting customers, architects, contractors, and the internal sales team with technical enquiries, design information, specifications, and project support. The role combines technical design, construction knowledge, compliance, documentation, and sales support, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in a commercially focused environment and wants to have a direct impact on project development and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Customer Service

  • Take ownership of technical enquiries from customers, architects, contractors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support to the Sales team throughout enquiries, quotations, and project development.
  • Provide technical input for tenders, bids, and project negotiations.
  • Support the conversion of commercial enquiries into specification opportunities and live projects.

Market & Project Intelligence

  • Monitor construction industry platforms and project databases for relevant project opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities involving architects and specifiers and work closely with the CPD & Specification Sales Executive.
  • Identify contractor, developer, and commercial opportunities and work closely with the Cladding Sales Representative.
  • Provide technical feasibility input to help qualify and prioritise opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
