Technical Support Engineer
Fully Remote – UK | 12-Month Contract | £240–£250 per day | Outside IR35
Are you a Technical Support Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, getting to the root cause of technical issues and finding smarter ways to work?
Our client is a leading American technology company expanding its presence across Europe, supporting some of the world's largest enterprise partners. As their European operations continue to grow, they are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their Enterprise Support team on an initial 12-month contract, with potential to extend.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting enterprise applications, APIs and web-based products. You'll investigate technical issues, use data and SQL to identify root causes, manage incidents and work closely with Engineering and Product teams to get problems resolved.
What You'll Be Doing
- Investigating and resolving technical issues across applications, APIs and web platforms.
- Using SQL and technical investigation skills to identify root causes and solve problems.
- Managing incidents and escalations through to resolution.
- Working closely with Engineering and Product teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Using monitoring, debugging and ticketing tools to support technical investigations.
- Creating and improving technical documentation and support processes.
- Using AI confidently to accelerate investigations, problem-solving, scripting and workflow automation.

What They're Looking For
- Experience in Technical Support, Application Support, Production Support or a similar software-focused environment.
- Good SQL skills and a strong troubleshooting mindset.
- Understanding of REST APIs and web technologies.
- Some experience reading or working with code or scripting.
- Comfortable working with incidents, escalations and SLAs.
- Confident and experienced using AI tools to improve technical investigations, problem-solving and day-to-day workflows.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Native or bilingual English.

Nice to have:
- Experience with Jira, Datadog or similar monitoring and ticketing tools.
- Experience with Python, Ruby, JavaScript or another programming language.
- Experience working within Grocery, Retail, E-commerce or a similar technology environment.
- Spanish, German, French or another European language.
