GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a highly recognisable, leading manufacturer located in Droitwich. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for someone to join their team as a Service Engineer on a full time, permanent contract.

Up to £40,000 + Excellent Benefits + Extensive Worldwide Travel up to 3 weeks per month

Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-precision quality control instrumentation, sensors, and automated gauging systems. As demand for their innovative technology continues to grow worldwide, they're expanding their engineering team and are looking to recruit an International Service Engineer immediately.

International Travel

This is a genuinely international position, with the expectation of travelling approximately three weeks out of every four, both across Europe and worldwide. The remaining week is office-based, allowing time to complete reports, prepare for upcoming projects and collaborate with colleagues.

The Role

As an International Service Engineer, you'll be the face of the business, delivering exceptional technical support at customer sites across the globe. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, commissioning and servicing specialist instrumentation and automated gauging systems
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Delivering user training and technical support to customers
  • Producing detailed service documentation following each visit
  • Building strong customer relationships and ensuring outstanding service levels
  • Identifying potential opportunities for product upgrades or additional services
  • Supporting customer demonstrations, product trials and testing where required
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety while working both on-site and internationally

What We're Looking For

  • Strong engineering knowledge with excellent technical fault-finding skills
  • A practical, hands-on approach with a passion for problem solving
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The flexibility and enthusiasm to undertake frequent international travel
