Role Description

The Technical Support Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. In this role, the Technical Support Engineer will provide hands-on technical assistance to customers, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, and respond to service requests through phone, email, and in person.

  • Troubleshooting system and network problems
  • Documenting issues and resolutions
  • Escalating complex cases to senior engineers when needed

The Technical Support Engineer will collaborate with internal teams to improve support processes, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely, high-quality customer service. The role may also involve assisting with product setup, basic training for users, and contributing to knowledge base articles.

Qualifications

  • Strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to diagnose problems, interpret error logs, and identify effective solutions.
  • Customer Support and Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and maintain professional relationships.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in accessible language.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems, basic networking concepts, and standard office productivity tools.
  • Ability to work independently on-site, prioritize tasks, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant technical certifications or a degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field are beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a technical support or helpdesk environment, particularly in a commercial or B2B setting, is an advantage.
