Technical Support Engineer
Location: Lisburn
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
Job Type: Full-time

Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Lisburn, with a strong reputation within its specialist market.
Due to continued growth, they are currently looking to appoint a Technical Support Engineer to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with a background in plumbing and heating systems to take on a varied technical role, providing expert guidance and aftersales support across a range of products.
The successful Technical Support Engineer will primarily be office-based, working closely with customers, internal teams and field engineers to provide effective technical solutions and coordinate service requirements.

About Your New Job
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide technical and aftersales support to customers while coordinating field-based engineering activities.
The role will involve responding to technical queries, assisting with product selection, preparing quotations and supporting customers throughout the installation and aftersales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and aftersales support to customers via telephone and email.
- Respond to customer queries relating to heating systems and associated products.
- Coordinate field engineer activities, including arranging site visits and providing technical support.
- Maintain accurate customer records, installation information and service history.
- Record technical advice and customer interactions using internal service management systems.
- Carry out heat loss calculations to assist with product selection and system design.
- Prepare quotations for renewable technology solutions using specialist software.
- Use Microsoft Office applications to produce technical information, quotations and reports.
- Support factory visits, product demonstrations and customer training activities.
- Attend customer sites occasionally to provide technical assistance.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve technical and customer service issues.
- Ensure customers receive a high standard of technical support throughout the aftersales process.

What You Will Need
- Previous experience within the plumbing and heating sector.
- Strong technical understanding of heating systems and installed heating appliances.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team.
- A structured and organised approach to managing customer queries and technical requirements.
