Automotive Technical Support Specialist
Location: Milton Keynes
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Overview
Our client is seeking an Automotive Technical Support Specialist to provide high-quality diagnostic and technical support to an automotive dealer network. You will use your vehicle diagnostic and repair expertise to resolve technical enquiries remotely and through on-site dealer visits. The role combines advanced fault diagnosis, hands-on repair guidance, case ownership, and collaboration with technical, customer service, and training teams to achieve effective resolutions for customers.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical enquiries covering a range of vehicle systems.
- Provide technical support through approved diagnostic and contact systems, remote diagnosis, and dealer visits.
- Take ownership of technical cases, providing accurate guidance while meeting quality and response targets.
- Drive case resolution through remote support, repair guidance, and technical coaching.
- Work with customer service, technical, training, and other specialist teams to resolve complex vehicle issues.
- Support dealers in identifying effective and efficient repair solutions for customers.
- Identify and contribute to process improvements that strengthen technical support and case resolution.
- Use technology and proactive problem-solving to help prevent recurring technical issues.

Requirements
- Proven vehicle diagnostic experience across a range of vehicle systems.
- Broad experience of vehicle repairs.
- Master Technician qualification as a minimum.
- Strong computer and analytical skills for technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage and resolve multiple technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information at different levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
- Full UK driving licence.
