Job Description

The below job description will outline this position of: Technical Support Engineer

Typically, this person will focus on providing expert technical support from the office or on-site and hands-on across the full range of products (full training will be provided). You will combine technical problem-solving with field-based work, including travel across the UK and international. You'll work closely with internal teams, boat builders, and end customers to deliver outstanding service, support installations, and resolve technical challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer

  • Provide technical support and advice via phone, email, and in on-site, in person
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products (past and present)
  • Carry out field-based support including warranty work, sea trials, commissioning, and service visits
  • Represent the company professionally when working on-site with customers and partners
  • Accurately document service work, installations, and commissioning activities
  • Collaborate with sales, design, quality, and production teams to provide feedback and drive product improvements
  • Support the ongoing development of the technical support function
  • Deliver training to customers and colleagues where required
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the management team

Qualifications and Requirements for the Technical Support Engineer

  • Hands-on mechanical experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel at short notice UK and overseas
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Relevant marine engineering qualifications/certification.
