Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles. Field service engineers considering a move away from on-site work are encouraged to apply, as are individuals with a foundational engineering background seeking their first technical support role. Good computer literacy is essential, as the role involves troubleshooting and communicating technical information remotely. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn and develop within a technical environment. Relevant certifications or prior experience in food processing equipment or similar machinery will be advantageous but are not mandatory.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Support Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing remote technical assistance to customers and field engineers via telephone and digital communication channels.
  • Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting issues, and guiding clients through resolving technical problems related to food processing equipment.
  • Developing a strong understanding of the company's products and systems, supported by ongoing OEM training and development programs.
  • Documenting technical cases accurately and maintaining detailed records of support activities.
  • Escalating complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback based on customer interactions and technical challenges encountered.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
