Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

Location: Halifax

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Hours: Full Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday)

Are you looking to start your career within technical support and develop your skills within a specialist technology environment?

Our client is a growing technology solutions provider supporting businesses with workplace technology, collaboration tools, and technical services. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding support team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in IT support, customer service, technology, or a recent technical qualification who wants to develop their career within a fast-paced and varied environment.

You'll support customers with technical queries, helping to diagnose issues, resolve problems, and ensure external users receive an excellent service. You'll also gain exposure to a wide range of workplace technologies, with full support and training provided to develop your technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first line technical support to customers through telephone, email, and remote support tools.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, ensuring problems are managed through to completion.
  • Log, update, and maintain accurate records of support cases.
  • Communicate clearly with customers throughout the support process.
  • Assist with system checks, preventative maintenance, and technical improvements.
  • Support senior members of the technical team with more complex issues.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute ideas to improve service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and external partners.

Experience Required

  • Strong problem-solving ability and logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to support customers professionally.
  • Good organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and systems.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

  • Experience using ticketing or service management systems.
  • Exposure to workplace technology, collaboration tools, or hardware support.
  • Technical qualifications or relevant training.
