Opious Overview

Opious is a carrier-agnostic managed connectivity and networking company, delivering Managed Network Services, Cellular Coverage Services, and Rapid Deployment Services to multi-site businesses globally. We're looking for two Technical Support Engineers to install, commission, and then support that infrastructure in the field.

This is a hands-on role covering the full life of a deployment: attending site to install and terminate cabling, mount and weatherproof external infrastructure, configure network and cellular hardware, and prove the solution works before handover — then owning faults on that same site once it's live. Our estate is cellular-heavy and often outdoors on live operational or construction sites, so the work is as much about doing things properly in difficult conditions as it is about technical knowledge. You'll work remotely between site visits, with travel booked in around your installs and support jobs — it suits someone self-sufficient enough to work unsupervised on a client site and leave it clean, documented, and working.

The role includes participation in the on-call rota, with occasional out-of-hours and weekend work for maintenance windows and reactive callouts.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

  • Strong hands-on field installation experience in networking, connectivity, or physical security infrastructure

  • The judgement to work unsupervised on client sites and make sensible calls in the field
  • Clear communication and good documentation discipline
