Job Description
The purpose of the Technical Support Engineer is to provide a high level of technical support for all software and hardware issues. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical problems for customers. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of computer systems and networks, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware problems
- Provide technical solutions and support to customers
- Document all technical issues and resolutions
- Collaborate with other technical teams to resolve complex problems
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and product updates

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Must have 3+ years of experience in a technical support role. Must have a strong understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems. Must have experience with troubleshooting network issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Must have experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
This is a full-time, onsite position located in San Francisco, CA.
