Job Introduction
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical professional to join a leading UK equipment rental business, supporting the development and effective use of specialist safety, survey, communications, test and measurement equipment. As Technical Support Manager, you’ll work closely with our depots, workshops, customers, and internal teams to provide technical guidance, improve product and service standards, and develop training opportunities. You’ll also support product demonstrations and identify opportunities to grow our Sales, Hire, Service, Repair, Training, and Installation offering.
Candidates must be based in the North of England. Anybody living South of Nottingham will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Closely work with the ESS Workshops on internal product management to standardise the working processes in all depots and workshops in relation to key equipment
- Work with depots, workshops, and relevant personnel to ensure quality of equipment, delivery of required products and services, and standards of support
- Virtual and Site Visits, exhibition attendance for support & demonstrations
- Work closely with Marketing & Sales Teams to promote products and develop market & sector opportunities
- Increase revenues where possible from all streams – Sales, Hire, Service, Repair, Training, Installations, etc.
- Develop a portfolio of training courses for both internal staff and external customers with a view to increasing revenue and skills base
- Maintenance of G42 service schedule system

What We’re Looking For
- Train the Trainer qualification or equivalent
- Relevant industry and product knowledge
- Experience within Engineering / Construction
- Clean driving licence
- Management and/or Sales experience desirable
- Manufacturer training desirable
- G42 experience
- Toolminder experience
