Role description

As a Technical Support Placement Student, you'll have the valuable opportunity to work closely with our technical support team, enhance your problem-solving skills, and assist our clients in resolving their technical issues.


Position Overview

We're seeking a proactive and motivated Technical Support Placement Student to join our team. This Placement will allow you to gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems, learning valuable skills that are essential in today's technology-driven world.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the technical support team to assist clients with their technical inquiries and issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and professional support experience.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to our products/services.
  • Offer step-by-step guidance to clients on resolving technical issues via phone, email, or chat.
  • Document and track customer interactions, resolutions, and feedback in our support systems.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior team members when necessary.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical support resources, such as knowledge base articles and FAQs.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in technology and a desire to learn about various software and hardware systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with clients facing technical challenges.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Prior technical support or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

Compensation

  • £14/hour
