Role Description

The Technical Support Specialist is a full-time role based in Leeds. This role focuses on providing timely technical support to internal teams and external clients, diagnosing issues with solar and energy monitoring systems, and resolving technical incidents through troubleshooting and clear communication. The specialist also helps improve customer satisfaction by explaining technical concepts in accessible terms, following up on open cases, and contributing to knowledge base articles and process improvements. Collaboration with engineering, operations, and analytics teams is expected to help refine tools, processes, and overall service quality.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Candidates should possess solid Customer Support and Customer Satisfaction skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and deliver a positive service experience.
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, spot patterns, and support evidence-led decision-making.
  • Relevant experience with IT or software support environments, preferably in energy, utilities, or renewable technologies.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities, with experience handling multiple tickets or priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfort with using ticketing systems, remote support tools, and standard office software; familiarity with monitoring platforms is an advantage.
  • Beneficial qualifications include a degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in engineering, IT, computer science, or a related technical field.
