Covering Wessex, Sussex, and Kent, the Southern Region is one of the busiest and most dynamic parts of the railway. Our teams keep some of the UK's most vital passenger and freight routes moving every single day. We are currently providing advice to support £100's of millions of pounds worth of works. With a focus on land acquisitions, disposals, and providing professional property advice to internal clients on major national and regional infrastructure projects.
You will be working in a highly professional and flexible environment. This role will offer you the opportunity to work on a diverse range of work and develop your knowledge of surveying.
It will be challenging. But you will be able to develop and hone your skills within a small but supportive team working on some of the busiest parts of Britain's railway.

About The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative and technical support to a team of Chartered Surveyors working across the Region.
This Role Will Also Allow You To Develop Your Practical Knowledge And Understanding Of General Practice Surveying And Work Towards Chartered Status (should You Want To). The Type Of Work Will Include Helping With:
- Co-ordinating and organising the team
- Land acquisitions & disposals
- Negotiation of leases/easements/restrictive covenants
- Negotiation of permanent & temporary rights of way
- Landlord & Tenant matters
- Compensation claims
What You'll Be Doing
In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
- Provide administrative and technical support to the team of Chartered Surveyors
- Contribute to the delivery a range of Property Services including acquisitions & disposals; leases and other Landlord/Tenant matters
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues to enable efficient and effective delivery of our client remit.
- Support the development and implementation of a safe working environment.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and eager to develop their experience within property. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to delivering great customer service will help you succeed in this role.

- Work experience of property industry
- An understanding of the rail industry
- Full Driving Licence
- Experience of stakeholder management
Job Role:
Your experience and skills
- Support the Stations Portfolio Team in delivering Integrated Station Plans (ISPs) through effective involvement in Local Delivery Groups (LDGs).
- Build positive working relationships with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Assist in delivering high-quality estate management activities that help maintain asset value and condition across the station portfolio.
- Support the management of customer queries, issues, and credit control activities on a day-to-day basis.
- Contribute to the effective management of the stations portfolio, ensuring activities align with professional standards and industry best practice.
