AVP Technical Systems Analyst – Data / SQL / Risk (Banking)

Location: London (Hybrid)
Rate: £320–£540/day (Umbrella)
Length: 6-12 months

We're working with a leading international investment bank to recruit an experienced AVP-level Technical Systems Analyst to support the delivery of a strategic Risk & ESG data platform.

This is not a traditional Business Analyst role. We're looking for someone with a strong technical and data background who is comfortable working with SQL, data models, technical requirements, and engineering teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements (BRDs, TRDs, and functional specifications).
  • Work closely with Business, Data Governance, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver data solutions.
  • Analyse complex data flows and support the design of modern data platforms.
  • Produce and review data models, data mapping, ERDs, and database designs.
  • Support data lineage, metadata management, and data quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with developers and architects on integration design and technical solution delivery.
  • Assist with testing, validation, and implementation across the project lifecycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
