We are supporting a major utilities client in hiring an OT Technical Systems Manager to provide technical leadership and oversight across operational technology and control-system environments, with a focus on systems governance, compliance, resilience and lifecycle management.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role covering the governance, configuration and lifecycle management of core OT platforms, including DMS, SCADA, data historians, telemetry and communications systems. The successful candidate will own technical controls and assurance frameworks, manage OT cyber security and compliance requirements, and lead platform upgrades and operational readiness planning across a critical infrastructure environment.

This role suits an experienced OT/Utilities professional with strong technical assurance and supplier management skills, comfortable operating across governance, engineering standards and platform lifecycle management within a regulated, critical national infrastructure setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the governance, configuration and lifecycle management of OT platforms, including DMS, SCADA, data historians, telemetry and communications systems
- Define and maintain engineering standards, technical controls and assurance frameworks across OT environments
- Manage OT cyber security, vulnerability management and compliance requirements within a regulated, critical infrastructure environment
- Plan and deliver platform upgrades, operational readiness activity and technical roadmaps across OT systems
- Provide technical leadership and oversight across OT and control-system environments, ensuring resilience and compliance
- Manage relationships with suppliers and technical stakeholders to ensure delivery against agreed engineering and assurance standards

Essential Skills
- Strong experience of governance, configuration and lifecycle management of OT platforms, including DMS, SCADA, data historians and telemetry systems
- Experience defining and applying engineering standards, technical controls and assurance frameworks
- Experience with OT cyber security, vulnerability management and compliance within regulated or critical infrastructure environments
- Experience delivering platform upgrades, operational readiness activity and technical roadmaps
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management experience
Desirable Skills
- Domain experience within the utilities or wider critical national infrastructure sector
- Familiarity with OT security standards and frameworks (e.g. IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NCSC CAF)
- Experience operating within a regulated environment with formal change and assurance governance
