Technical Team Leader / BIM Manager

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £50,000–£65,000 DOE

An award-winning, employee-owned landscape architecture and environmental design practice is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Team Leader / BIM Manager to lead the next stage of its technical and digital development.

This is a senior and influential position with responsibility for leading the technical team, shaping BIM and Revit strategy, improving technical standards and supporting the delivery of coordinated, buildable projects.

The role

You will:

  • Lead, support and develop the technical team, including workload planning and resource allocation
  • Develop and implement BIM, Revit and wider digital delivery standards
  • Create templates, workflows and quality procedures for repeatable project delivery
  • Support project teams with technical coordination, model auditing and quality reviews
  • Provide training, mentoring and technical guidance across the practice
  • Contribute to complex and strategically important projects
  • Coordinate technical IT requirements with the external IT provider
  • Maintain oversight of Cyber Essentials compliance

About you

You will have:

  • Strong experience in BIM, technical coordination or digital design
  • Advanced Revit skills
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite and NBS
  • Experience leading and developing technical staff
  • Strong knowledge of construction detailing, buildability and multidisciplinary coordination
  • Experience creating BIM standards, templates, audit processes and quality procedures
  • The ability to balance strategic leadership with practical project delivery
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK
