Role: Data Governance and Tooling Lead

Rate Inside IR35: £325.00

Location: Hybrid working 3 days on client site, London

As the Technical Tooling Lead, you'll act as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, data governance teams, technology teams, vendors, and implementation partners. You'll be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Alation and Profisee from planning through to go-live and transition into business-as-usual operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and rollout of Alation and Profisee.
  • Manage project plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
  • Coordinate business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Facilitate governance forums, workshops, and steering committees.
  • Lead Agile teams, managing backlogs, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
  • Produce status reports, RAID logs, and executive updates.
  • Oversee platform configuration, integration, testing, go-live planning, and operational readiness.
  • Support transition into BAU, including knowledge transfer and service readiness.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex technology or data transformation programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional team management skills.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of Data Governance, Metadata Management, MDM, and Data Quality.
  • Experience implementing tools such as Alation, Profisee, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Ataccama, or similar is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and cloud platforms would be advantageous.
