Technical Trainer
The Technical Trainer will provide primarily customer-facing training on the TAIT group of companies’ automation platforms and associated systems. They will also be instrumental in the development of content for future training offerings.
Responsibilities
Classroom Training:
- Facilitate classroom training on the TAIT and/or Kinesys automation platforms
- Navigator - Introduction, Programming & 3D
- iQ (including the epiQ console)
- Vector
- Aid in or lead content development for new training offerings and/or enhancement of existing classroom training offerings
- Create and develop training materials to support the delivery of classroom training, incorporating different learning styles, e.g., presentations, worksheets, practical exercises, participant guides, facilitator guides, etc.
- Successfully leverage the TAIT external LMS (Learning Management System) to track/manage learner course assignments, class rosters, and course/module completions
- Maintain classroom training equipment in the Training Lab, ensuring readiness of kit for classroom training, demos, and other uses as applicable

Onsite Training
- Facilitate either onsite or online/remote training on various topics as needed (by customer request), including:
- General entertainment automation concepts/components
- TAIT & Kinesys automation platforms/systems – operation and programming
- Troubleshooting
- Safety
- Aid in or lead content development for new training offerings and/or enhancement of existing onsite training offerings
- Create and develop training materials to support the delivery of onsite training, incorporating different learning styles, e.g., presentations, worksheets, practical exercises, participant guides, facilitator guides, etc.
- Maintain travel training equipment, ensuring readiness of kit for onsite training
Process Management
- Develop and manage appropriate processes for training administration.
- Manage and update necessary training information via internal communication tools (Slack, Sharepoint, Guru, etc.)
- Effectively leverage Salesforce Service Cloud to engage with customers on training requests
- Identify opportunities for improvement of departmental training processes, tools, and/or administration; review with appropriate departmental leadership; implement improvements
Tracking & Reporting
- Effectively utilize the TAIT external LMS (learning management system) to house and manage training activity and learner progress
- Provide learner tracking and reporting as needed/requested
- Leverage reporting to make additional training recommendations, if/when needed, to further achievement of business objectives

Collaboration
- Collaborate cross-functionally with team members, department heads, and other stakeholders to understand organizational needs and align customer-facing learning programs with business objectives
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance
- Provide subject matter expertise on both content and training methods to benefit TAIT projects
- Provide training to non-L&D team members on effective training means and methods, if/when applicable
Qualifications
- Professional experience working with automation controls systems
- In-depth knowledge of NAVIGATOR; working knowledge of iQ, eCham/Cham 5, Vector (in-depth knowledge of iQ preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and agile environment
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization
- Affinity for working closely with customers to solve challenges and provide a great customer experience
