Role Overview

Concepting, designing, developing and delivering standard and customised training solutions for our customers and internal staff.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, design, develop and deliver standard and customised training solutions with an electrical / controls bias
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a training strategy for the Academy @ Dematic and its customers
  • Keep up to date with the latest products and solutions from the Dematic product portfolio
  • Work alongside our customers to understand their training needs and recommend suitable training solutions to meet their requirements
  • Provide technical support as and when required to our engineering teams and customers which may include occasional weekend / shift working
  • Working knowledge of relevant industry standards to ensure compliance to and best practice is followed
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation
  • Act as an ambassador of the company and the Academy @ Dematic brand
  • Identify continuous improvement and training sales opportunities

Tasks:

  • Experience with some or all of the following is desirable but not essential.
    • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff)
    • HMI’s and SCADA
    • Fieldbus networks (AS-I, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet IP)
    • Inverter drives (SEW, Siemens, KEB, Nord)
    • Barcode scanners & Imagers (Sick, Datalogic, Cognex)
    • Electrical design
    • Reading electrical schematics and device layout drawings
    • Safety system design standards
    • Electrical test equipment
    • Fault finding and diagnostics
    • Control system commissioning
    • Material handling systems
