Role Overview
The Technical Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of BBX Media’s equipment warehouse — ensuring all production and technical equipment is tested, maintained, prepped, and dispatched accurately and on time. This is a hands-on technical role combining warehouse supervision, equipment engineering, and logistics coordination, sitting at the centre of BBX Media’s production pipeline.

Position: Permanent FT
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Stock Management
- Own the day-to-day running of the warehouse: layout, organisation, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate stock records and equipment inventory systems (e.g. CurrentRMS), ensuring asset data, serial numbers, and locations are kept up to date
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies
Equipment Prep & Testing
- Oversee kit prep, testing, and quality control ahead of every job — cameras, vision, audio equipment, cabling and power distribution etc.
- Manage PAT testing and equipment safety compliance schedules
- Diagnose and carry out first-line repairs and maintenance on technical equipment; coordinate third-party repairs where needed
- Ensure faulty or damaged equipment is flagged, logged, and taken out of circulation until repaired

Logistics & Dispatch
- Plan and coordinate equipment loading, dispatch, and returns alongside the Logistics Team.
- Liaise with production and technical teams to confirm kit lists and job requirements ahead of dispatch
- Arrange couriers, vehicle logistics, and crew equipment collection/drop-off as required
- Manage the return process: checking equipment back in, verifying completeness and condition
Team & Process Management
- Supervise and support warehouse/technical assistants and freelance crew during busy periods
- Maintain and improve warehouse processes, checklists, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for kit prep and dispatch
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed, including safe lifting, storage, and vehicle loading practices
Systems & Reporting
- Work with internal tools (e.g. CurrentRMS, freelancer/crew portals, callsheet systems) to keep equipment and job data aligned
- Report on stock levels, equipment condition, recurring faults, and warehouse KPIs to management
- Flag equipment purchasing or replacement needs based on usage, damage trends, and upcoming job demand
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in a warehouse, technical stores, or equipment management role, ideally within live events or AV/production
- Working knowledge of streaming/production equipment (cameras, vision mixers, streaming encoders, audio, cabling, power)
- Practical, hands-on technical troubleshooting ability
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent organisational skills and close attention to detail
- Comfortable with physical work: lifting, loading vehicles, and being on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to work under pressure to tight production deadlines, including occasional early starts, late finishes, and weekend work
- Punctual and excellent time keeping

Desirable
- Experience with equipment/rental management software (e.g. CurrentRMS) Full training will be provided
- PAT testing qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
- Forklift or warehouse machinery certification
- Experience supervising or coordinating a small team
- Knowledge of virtual streaming show and live event logistics
- Lives in the BCP conurbation
