CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Technical Writer to join the team located in London to support ongoing management and upkeep of Property Services documentation (Policies & Procedures) aligned with Real estate Operations 'REO' across regions (EMEA / APAC / AMS).
Key Tasks
- Driving clarity, control, and consistency across REO through a structured approach to standardising, governing, and embedding operationally usable documentation globally
- Accountable for all REO documentation globally.
- Complete inventory and structured review of all REO policies, procedures, and standards.
- Identify inconsistencies, duplication, obsolete content, and compliance gaps.
- Exposing operational and audit risks embedded in existing documentation.
- Implement a consistent global REO structure, format, and approach. Reducing regional variation and ensure alignment across all teams.
- Rewrite documentation into clear, practical, operational language. Define mandatory vs guidance to remove ambiguity and improve usability.
- Engage regions to align requirements, balance global consistency with essential local considerations.
- Introduce version control, approvals, and defined ownership. Ensuring documentation is audit-ready, controlled, and consistently maintained.
- Support implementation, provide practical guidance, and establish ongoing review cycles. Ensuring standards are embedded in operations and remain current over time

Education
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in communications, or relevant technical field
- Professional certification in Project or Program Management
Skills
- Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
- Ability to evaluate and analyse complex information with a natural desire to help people understand it
- Strong PC skills, MS Office
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Good administrative skills - Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Well organised and good prioritisation and planning skills.
- Service orientated attitude combined with innovative thinking.
Knowledge
- Knowledge and awareness of the facilities management industry
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and best practices
Experience
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
- Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience, refine content, and create procedural, policy and process content.
