About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Technical Writers and Editors to contribute to a project focused on evaluating and improving advanced AI systems. In this role, you will apply your expertise in technical writing, editing, content evaluation, and written communication to assess the quality of AI-generated content and help improve how AI systems communicate information.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel at analyzing clarity, tone, accuracy, structure, and instructional effectiveness in written content. You will participate in evaluation projects that require comparing multiple written responses, assigning quality scores, and providing detailed reasoning for your assessments.
The work is fully remote, flexible, and centered on high-quality content evaluation and analysis. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and compare AI-generated responses to technical and instructional writing prompts.
- Assess content for clarity, tone, coherence, accuracy, usefulness, and adherence to instructions.
- Assign analytical quality scores and provide detailed written rationales for evaluations.
- Identify opportunities to improve content quality, readability, and instructional value.
- Apply professional judgment to evaluate subtle differences in writing effectiveness.
- Review content for consistency, structure, audience appropriateness, and communication quality.
- Document findings accurately using digital review and evaluation platforms.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project stakeholders to maintain evaluation consistency.
- Work independently while managing deliverables and deadlines.
- Contribute expertise to improve the quality of AI-generated written content.

Required Qualifications
- Strong professional-level written English and exceptional written communication skills.
- Experience in technical writing, editing, content development, or content evaluation.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to assess clarity, tone, structure, coherence, and instructional effectiveness.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-control skills.
- Ability to provide objective, evidence-based feedback and evaluations.
- Experience working independently in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Native-level English fluency.
- Professional experience in technical writing, editing, documentation, content strategy, or instructional content development.
- Experience reviewing, editing, or evaluating technical and educational materials.
- Familiarity with content review, annotation, or digital evaluation platforms.
- Experience working with style guides, documentation standards, or editorial processes.
- Exposure to AI evaluation, model assessment, RLHF, or related projects.
- Strong ability to distinguish high-quality writing from content that is technically correct but poorly communicated.
