Company Description

Humidity Response Ltd is an independent, family-owned company specializing in property damage repair and clean-up. The organization operates without ties to franchises or insurance companies, ensuring flexible, customer-focused services. The team provides a comprehensive 24/7 emergency call-out and care service, working closely with major insurance companies, loss adjusters, and surveyors when required. Their goal is to remove stress for clients by handling the damage, the mess, and the coordination, helping people return to comfortable living in their homes as quickly as possible.

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Technician role is based in Maidstone. The Technician will support emergency call-outs, assess property damage, and carry out repair, restoration, and drying tasks in homes and commercial properties. Day-to-day duties include:

The role also involves working in coordination with insurance representatives and surveyors, following company procedures, and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills in basic building repair, restoration work, or a related trade (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, property maintenance).
  • Ability to use and maintain technical equipment and tools safely, with a good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain work clearly and support clients in stressful situations.
  • Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures and document work accurately.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including participation in a 24/7 emergency call-out rota.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites in and around Maidstone.
  • Previous experience in property damage restoration, facilities maintenance, or emergency response is beneficial but not essential.
  • Commitment to learning, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
