Location: Stockport
Salary: Up to £38,000 Basic
OTE: up to £48,200
Hours: 40 hours, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm + 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm

THE ROLE
As a Senior Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician, you'll play an important role within a busy workshop, carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and vehicle health checks to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out vehicle inspections in line with technical guidelines
- Completing servicing and routine maintenance
- Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs
- Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Carrying out additional repairs once authorised
- Completing warranty repairs accurately and efficiently
- Conducting vehicle health checks
- Carrying out road tests to confirm repairs have been completed correctly
- Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard
- Working efficiently to agreed productivity and quality targets
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional workshop environment
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to a strong team environment

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced technician with:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Experience working to high technical and quality standards
- Full and valid UK driving licence
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive and professional approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine desire to develop your technical skills
Diagnostic, MOT and EV/Hybrid experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
