Job Description:
Technician — Cable Manufacturing
- Perform core preparation, incoming checks, packing, and shipping in accordance with defined production specifications.
- Support twisting and coating-line operations directly on the manufacturing floor.
- Perform routine quality checks and document non-conformances using an issues-tracking system.
- Maintain equipment-calibration records and manage production consumables.
Technician — Tape Testing & Metrology
- Operate tape-star and thickness-measurement equipment on a daily basis.
- Perform incoming inspections of HTS (high-temperature superconducting) reels, including visual checks, bag-condition checks, and dimensional measurements.
- Record inspection data accurately in the designated database.
- Route reels to long-term storage, production, or quarantine according to defined criteria.
- Maintain test-stand calibration records and manage related consumables.

Most Important Skills Needed:
- For the Cable Manufacturing Technician: hands-on experience with core preparation, cable manufacturing, twisting, coating operations, incoming inspection, quality checks, or related production work.
- For the Tape Testing & Metrology Technician: experience operating measurement or test equipment, performing visual and dimensional inspections, recording production data, managing traceability, and maintaining calibration records.
- Experience supporting prototype, pilot, first-article, or early-production builds directly on the manufacturing floor.
- Familiarity with production travelers, quality documentation, non-conformance management, calibration records, or consumables management is beneficial.
- Experience working in specialized, high-precision, or low-volume manufacturing environments is beneficial.
