Role Description
This full-time, on-site Technician role is based at Bertie's Service Garage in Doncaster. The Technician is responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire services, and fluid checks, and carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer and safety standards.

The role also involves test-driving vehicles to verify repairs, advising on required services, and supporting colleagues to ensure efficient workshop operations and high-quality customer service.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics, with the ability to follow technical manuals and workshop procedures.
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards and best practices, including safe use of tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and explaining technical issues in clear terms.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet service deadlines.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in automotive technology or a related field; apprenticeship or garage experience is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to continuous learning, including staying updated on new vehicle technologies and diagnostic methods.
- Ability to work on-site in a physically active role, including standing for extended periods and handling tools and vehicle components.
