Role Overview
As a Technician in our North America Special Risks Team, you will be an integral part of our high-performing team based out of our Cheltenham office. Your role will involve providing efficient, effective and expert administrative support to the Technical Team and Broking Divisions, in line with compliance, FCA and internal audit guidelines.

You will have previous experience and be able to carry out activity with moderate guidance as opposed to direct and close supervision.
Responsibilities
- Process premiums, claims and delegated authority transactions accurately and in line with internal controls, market requirements and service standards.
- Create, review and distribute insurance documentation using information from multiple sources, ensuring completeness and accuracy at all times.
- Accurately enter, update and validate data across relevant systems, maintaining the integrity of records and management information.
- Review and validate slips, bordereaux, claims documentation and supporting records, identifying discrepancies and taking appropriate action.
- Manage day-to-day correspondence and queries, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where appropriate.
- Investigate and resolve processing exceptions, data issues and operational queries.
- Build effective working relationships with Underwriters, Brokers, IBA, Claims and Operations teams to support the efficient delivery of services.
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in Open Market Premium Processing, Premium Bordereaux Processing, Claims Bordereaux Processing and/or Over Authority Claims Handling.
- Strong knowledge of Delegated Authority business, including the administration of Binders and Lineslips across multiple divisions.
- Proven ability to manage complex workflows whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance and service delivery.
- Good understanding of London Market insurance principles, processes and controls.
- Ability to analyse and interpret insurance documentation, identifying key information and resolving discrepancies.
- Understanding of insurance accounting principles, including IBA processes, ledgers and net postings.
- Proficiency in relevant insurance systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes whilst meeting service, regulatory and operational requirements.
