Construction and Building Services Plumbing

Full time, 35 hours per week
Fixed Term Until: 30 June 2027

We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Technician (Plumbing) to join our Construction, & Building Services Team on a temporary basis.

As a key member of our technical team, you will play an important role in ensuring our workshops, equipment and learning environments are ready to support high-quality teaching and learning.

  • Working closely with lecturers and students, you'll prepare practical teaching areas, maintain specialist equipment and resources, support demonstrations, and provide expert technical advice when required.
  • You'll also help ensure the highest standards of health and safety across the department through effective maintenance, risk assessment and stock management processes.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to combine your industry knowledge with a passion for supporting skills development.

Requirements:

You'll be a qualified plumbing professional with current industry experience and a passion for supporting learning and skills development. We're looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, enjoys working as part of a team, and can build positive relationships with both staff and students.

  • Strong practical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy workshop environment
  • Proactive, dependable and committed to creating an excellent learning experience for our students
