About the Role

As the Technician, you will be a motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational skills and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

You will have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Adeptness at managing workloads to meet deadlines effectively
  • A preference for a degree or HND in Science or Engineering, or equivalent laboratory experience
  • Advantage from prior laboratory experience, particularly in a metallurgy environment

Most importantly, you will bring:

  • A proactive approach
  • A willingness to learn
  • A strong focus on quality and safety

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Degree or HND in science/engineering (preferred)
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally metallurgy-related

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting six-month temporary role supporting the metallurgical team in manufacturing quality control and supplier approval activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect items/samples for testing and record them in the relevant booking system
  • Prepare samples and conduct assessments against client specifications
  • Manage workloads to meet KPI turnaround time targets
  • Maintain equipment to the highest standards
