Are you customer-focused, great at working in a busy team, and known for your attention to detail?

We’re continuing to grow our centre of excellence in calibration and expanding our support to businesses across the UK. To help us on this journey, we’re looking for someone who shares our ambition and values. If this sounds like you, the team at Norfolk Calibration Services in Hethel, near Wymondham, would love to hear from you.

We’re proud to support a loyal customer base across both the private and public sectors throughout the UK, and even into the EU, thanks to our:

  • High-quality, accurate, and reliable mass (weight) calibration services
  • Excellent standards of customer care
  • Wide range of complementary calibration services for diverse industries
  • Innovative and continuously improving approach
  • Strong reputation for technical excellence and outstanding service

We have exciting opportunities ahead as we continue to grow, and we’re looking for an additional team member, at Technician or Senior Technician level, to support the expansion and delivery of our services.

As a Technician or Senior Technician, you’ll take on a role that is varied, challenging and genuinely fulfilling. You’ll work with a wide range of businesses and industries, giving you exposure to something new every day. Throughout it all, you’ll be supported by a talented, experienced, and friendly team who are committed to helping you and our customers succeed.

You’ll need to be comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, while maintaining excellent customer service and clear communication. Accuracy, flexibility and the ability to prioritise your workload are essential.

Experience working within a quality system or to standards such as Good Laboratory Practice or Good Manufacturing Practice, is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Good IT skills, such as MS Office, and good manual handling skills are essential and an experience of, or interest in electronic engineering would be advantageous but is not essential.

Based at Hethel Engineering Centre, with its proximity to the A11, A47 and A140, we have free car parking, a coffee forum and a growing tenant’s social network.

DBS & NPPV2 checks will be required for the successful candidate.

As a Senior Technician, you will also bring a higher level of technical knowledge and experience in related fields, along with a strong understanding of quality assurance practices. This may include familiarity with UKAS laboratory accreditation requirements, UKCA conformity assessments, or similar regulatory and quality frameworks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
