Job Description

We have a new opportunity for an established Technician to join our market-leading Global Occupier Services business, based at our client's site in Rotherham.
Responsibilities
- Provide planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance services as instructed, ensuring all operational standards, processes, and procedures are followed.
- Carry out general fabric maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing, decorating, and building repairs, in line with competency levels and site requirements.
- Support clients and building occupants in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
- Contribute to the delivery of service commitments by maintaining high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance and supporting a safe and secure working environment.
- Undertake routine inspections and condition checks of building assets, fabric, fixtures, and equipment, reporting any defects or non-compliance issues.
- Assist the engineering and facilities teams with a range of maintenance and operational duties as required.
- Respond promptly to client requests, service calls, and maintenance issues, escalating more complex problems where necessary.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work regulations, company policies, and site procedures.
- Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives by identifying and reporting opportunities for improvement.
- Complete maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use established procedures and guidance to resolve routine maintenance issues and complete assigned tasks effectively.
- Work independently on allocated tasks while contributing positively to the wider facilities and maintenance team.

Experience & Qualifications Required
- Previous experience in a Fabric Technician, Maintenance Technician, Building Maintenance, Carpentry, or similar role.
- City & Guilds qualification, NVQ Level 2/3, Apprenticeship, or equivalent trade-based qualification.
- Experience or basic qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines would be advantageous.
- Practical experience carrying out building fabric repairs, maintenance, and minor installation works.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with experience working in a client-facing environment.
- Ability to prioritise and self-manage assigned tasks while determining material and equipment requirements.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Experience within a Facilities Management, commercial property, or maintenance environment is desirable.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work, with a willingness to support a variety of maintenance activities across site.
