Role Overview
We are looking for:
We invite you to join us as a Technician in the Materials & Testing team’s laboratory during an exciting period of growth at Syensqo. As explorers in the field of materials science, our M&T Lab plays a crucial role in delivering essential product test data for aerospace customer qualifications, product re-sites, problem resolution, and product development activities. This role involves engaging in composite/adhesive panel fabrication, machining, and mechanical testing of adhesive and composite materials, following various international or customer test standards. By joining our team, you will contribute to our mission of advancing humanity through scientific exploration. We offer comprehensive training for those new to this field, while candidates with a proven background in similar activities are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
You count on you for:
- Demonstrating and promoting strong adherence to safety culture.
- Composite/adhesive panel fabrication, machining, and destructive mechanical testing of a broad range of composite and adhesive specimen types.
- Work collaboratively at all times to support all functions, customers, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out. Manage projects and project documentation to an externally auditable level.
- Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained.

Qualifications
You will bring:
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs/O-Levels or A Level in a relevant subject.
- Ability to read English and comprehend technical writing, as found in customer specifications and other relevant documentation.
- Computer literate (experience with Excel & Word).
- Experience of working in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Educated to an HNC/HND level in a relevant field.
- Practical experience operating machining equipment.
- Experience with composite panel fabrication or using universal test machines (MTS, Instron, Zwick, etc.) and data acquisition software.
- Strong knowledge of composite materials covering a range of matrix & reinforcement technologies.
- Working knowledge of LIMS (LabWare®) software.
- Three or more years working at an industrial/technology company.

Additional information:
- Working a two/three-shift pattern, Monday to Friday. Overtime will be expected on occasion, to meet business demands.

UK annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is GBP 27000 to GBP 30000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification, and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
