Technologist
(SC Eligible, Gloucestershire based, Hybrid Working)
Do you enjoy grappling with different technologies and designing solutions to real-world problems? Does the ideation, creation, and delivery of cutting-edge MVPs for a variety of domains excite you? If so, you may be exactly who we're looking for!
Why us?
We may be looking for you, but why should you want us?
With the best part of a decade of delivering meaningful software, research, and digital infrastructure engineering, we've been lucky enough to positively shape the world through our work.
For us, seeing first-hand how our efforts make a real difference drives us forward, and we hope it does for you too.
Founded by engineers, for engineers, we’re often at the forefront of our domain, and encourage creative thinkers through training, collaboration, and organizational support.
After almost a decade of success, Infoserv is looking forward to our next chapter, with the role of Technologist being a pivotal piece of the puzzle going forward.
Why you?
This role will appeal to someone who loves continually learning, has experience working across a breadth of languages and technologies. It’s about identifying the right tool for the job, sometimes that may be a frontier technology, and other times it may be something tried and true.
As the Technologist, you’ll be working closely with the Business Development Team and supporting other engineers. That may be leaning into bids as the technical expert, teaching others new technologies, or researching new capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
